WE MADE IT, SAYS CHAMELEONE AS HE CONCLUDES HIS SHOW

Before the one man one million concert came to pass yesterday, Jose Chameleon has been having sleepless nights in the name of making the show a success.

The one million show at Serena hotel started with a big disappointment, chairs where empty, people where nowhere to be seen as the security men were idle, there was no one coming in for security check.

When it clocked 9pm, people started coming in, Victoria hall empty seats were occupied one by one. Not all seats were taken but you have to give credit to the man, the least entrance fee was Shs200,000.

Who in Uganda has ever charged that price? The highest they have charged has been Shs100,000  and the artistes were Bebe Cool, Julianna, Desire Luzinda and  Gospel artiste Judith Babirye.

It was a solo performance by Chameleon alongside Solid band who were on point, he gave four full hours of energetic performance, and he performed all his songs that he did for the 14 years of his music career.

Security which was tight to the extent that the Sangomas, Basama and the ladies had to remove all the jewelries for security check, the PGB security later left at 10pm with Mrs Janet Museveni and the checking went back to normal.

Chameleon closed the performance at 11pm with Wale Wale as he was joined by the Karamojong traditional dancers.

He then thanked everyone who came for the show. “Uganda, we made it.” He said as he left the stage.
