Ugandan music fanatics should be super ready and anxious for another good piece of work from Joanita Zachariassen who has confirmed that she will be the talk of the town in the next few months to come.
The singer talked to us via WhatsApp chat before she was premiered her stunning video dubbed “Kyoyagala” which means What you want in a local language on NTV Beat last week.
The ‘Kyoyagala’ hit maker released a successful music album in 2006 called “Kept me going” where she received a handful of revelers, she decided to invest all the gate collections into more music hits anticipated to drive party animals like crazy.
The hit song was produced, shot and mastered by Papashotit in Uganda and hence the much-anticipated piece of work was ready for download on the singer’s YouTube channel.
Her Life and Music
Joanita was born in Uganda, Africa and she is from a Christian background. She is a Singer-songwriter and among her top genres include Gospel, Pop, Soul, and Afrobeat.
Besides Music, Joanita also holds an Academy from “Complete Vocal Institute” music school in Denmark and has been in the music industry for over 18 years while holding great concerts in the Diaspora over the years ever since she released her first Album in 2006.
Joanita has in the last 18 years been working on her solo career, and in 2006 she released her first solo album (soul/ pop/reggae) named “Kept me going.”
In 2009 she starred Joanita in “Talent Show 09” and the same year she starred in a “Climate service “ in Copenhagen’s cathedral, where she sang for over 2000 people – including several heads of state, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Queen Margrethe, and Prince Henrik.
In 2016 Joanita performed for well known Nelson Mandela’s daughter (Zindzi Mandela) at a refugee charity concert and she has also worked and sang with Emmelie de Forest Eurovision Song Contest winner of 2013.

Last year 2017
Joanita was expanding her music career in East Africa, Uganda and Tanzania and Kenya. She has released a few singles featuring big artists such as The Mith, Barnaba Classic from Uganda and Tanzania and many more countries to come. Joanita is now in a music promotion tour in Uganda promoting her newest singles.

Joanita is working on an Ep that takes on different genres such as Afrobeat, Soul/Rock, Pop, Contemporary Gospel music. This Ep of 8 songs will be finished in early 2018.
