The Uganda Communications Commission in accordance with Section 41 of the Communications Act 2013, Has revoked the licenses of 3 telecommunications and internet service providers in Uganda.
The telecom on the list is smart telecom which is owned by his Highness the aga khan. Smart has been struggling in the market and had even failed to raise 200,000 customers.
It however has a loyal university clientele thanks to its 1000 shs for 500 Mb daily Internet bundle.
The Internet service providers on the list are bugolobi One solutions and Nakasero based Foris telecom which owns in connect.
Uganda communications commission has warned the public against dealing with the 3 telecommunications service providers.
