The Government chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa has today morning advised the opposition members in parliament to hold on their excitements and celebrations because it’s not yet over. This was after the age limit motion was not tabled yesterday due to the chaos caused by the opposition members in parliament which even prompted Jacob Olaya who was the speaker of the house that day to adjourn the motion to Tuesday next week.
The chaos caused in the house left NRM members with no chance to express their long awaited idea to scrap article 102b of the constitution which propelled opposition members of parliament to come out celebrating that they were victors after the first round of the age limit battle, however the government chief whip revealed to x-rated news Uganda that everything that happened yesterday was not a surprise to NRM.
She also went further to say that her and other fellow MPs knew that the speaker and her deputy had enough time to deliberately talk about the issue to the logical conclusion but unfortunately they didn’t meet what they anticipated from them. However according to x-rated confidential sources in parliament the age limit motion had not been considered on the order paper thus could not be tabled since it was not on the agenda.
