Singer Jenneth Prischa has unleashed another hit song Tim Pa Kongo off her 2017 upcoming music Album. This song comes shortly after her releasing dance hall songs Simple Gyal and Kwiri Pa Luo lately. Tim Pa Kong translated to mean acts of alcohol are an educative song crafted to help control the rate of drinking in the region.
“I am not saying people should not drink but drink responsibly, many men have traded their Families with sachet drinks and this is horrible we need a change”, said Prischa. The songs come at a time when, Gulu District Council has just passed a by-law banning alcohol sale in sachets in Gulu.
The ban attracted mixed reactions from the area leaders and subjects across the region. Some have criticized sachet alcohol, saying it is ruining the lives of young people. Others said it has reduced productivity in families hence increased poverty .
While others look at it as a means of livelihood. Prischa is hopeful that this song will play a pivotal role in educating the youth and child headed families consume alcohol responsibly or not at all, and rethink about their responsibilities
