National Social Security Fund (NSSF) deputy managing director Geraldine Ssali has been suspended.
According to a note by management, Ms Ssali was suspended for gross insubordination by the board in a meeting held on March 14, 2016.
According to the board, she breached the Fund’s Human Resource Code of Conduct.
She is currently on suspension until the board devises a disciplinary measure against her.
While she is on suspension, the board continued, Ms Ssali is not allowed to conduct business on behalf of the Fund.
According to sources the time Geraldine Ssali spent as acting MD got to her head and by the time Richard Byarugaba was returned as Mnanaging Director at NSSF, she was a fully developed leader and was nolonger willing to follow anyone else’s vision, her other biggest undoing was her two God parents Former Finance Minister Maria Kiwanuka losing her Job and NSSF chairman Ivan Kyayonka Passing on.
Geraldine Ssali Busuulwa is a Ugandan accountant, mathematician, and business administrator.
She is the deputy managing director of the National Social Security Fund (Uganda) (NSSF Uganda).
She was first appointed to that position on 20 March 2011 by Finance Minister Syda Bbumba.
On 29 October 2014, she was re-appointed to the same position after a ten-month period when she served as acting managing director.
