Forum for democratic change (FDC) party electoral commission is set to receive an official withdraw letter from one of the party presidential candidate Honorable Mubarak Munyagwa. Munyagwa who is the kawempe division south MP recently withdrew his candidacy and requested his supporters to rally behind Patrick Oboyi, a move many believe was a bribe from Oboyi.

But Dan Mugalula the party vice chairperson says that they only received voice notes and an email from Munyagwa which is not enough to withdraw one’s candidacy. He only has up to Thursday this week (tomorrow) to official withdrawn or his name will appear on the ballot paper.

“We have talked to Munyagwa on phone and we expect him to write an official letter to us confirming his withdraw from the race because we   are not even sure if the voice note was really his” he concluded. On November 24th this year about 1209 FDC delegates will converge at Namboole stadium to elect a new FDC party president.
