Micho Names final 22 Man’s Uganda Cranes Squad to Face West Nile Select

Uganda Cranes head tactician Milutin Sredojevic has this afternoon named his final 22 man’s Squard that will face off with the West Nile team select at the Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo on Sunday.

In this squad the released today after the final training session held at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo, The former SC Villa and Rwandese coach included eight players picked from the seventy nine players called from the FUFA Big league and University Football league

While announcing this squad, The Serb saluted the spirit, dedication and commitment of all the players engaged in training especially from the FUFA Big league and University Football league.

“I want to thank all the players who took part in the two days training sessions. They have been dedicated and committed to the cause. Those who did not make the final team remain special and part of the team’s set up process” Micho told the media at Lugogo in a special press conference he announced the squad.

Cranes that departs for Paidha tomorrow at 7 am will be captained by Ibrahim Saddam Juma and Muhammed Shaban as the vice captain.

Full Backs: Allan Drajuwa (Kirinya-Jinja S.S), Fred Okot (URA), Yayo Lutimba (Express), Hassan Musana (BUL)

Central Defenders:Rashid ‘Mertsacker’ Toha (Onduparaka), Julius Mutyaba (URA), Ibrahim Kibumba (Police), Brian Nsubuga (Masavu)

Central Midfielders: Victor Aweko (Bright Stars), Hudu Mulikyi (URA), Nicholas Kasozi (Synergy), Pius Obuya (Maroons)

Attacking Midfielders: Shafiq Kagimu (URA), Joseph Ssemujju (Express), Rahmat Senfuka (URA), Juma Saddam Ibrahim (Express)

Strikers: Shaban Muhammed (Onduparaka), Brian Aheebwa (Mbarara City), Anwar Ntege (Ndejje University), Patrick Kaddu (Maroons), Steven Mukwala (Kampala University), Brian Lubega (Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi)
