The World’s No.1 best-selling premium and most respected whiskey brand, Jack Daniels, officially launched its presence in Uganda on Friday the 29th of September at the Square Place. Jack Daniels has been on Ugandan shelves for over a decade in a free market with no official importer and distributor to guarantee that consumers were drinking genuine Jack Daniels Whiskey.
The brand also had little to no coordinated marketing or promotional campaigns. Jack Daniels International, at the beginning of this year, signed with Grays Uganda Limited, a subsidiary of Grays Mauritius Inc. Ltd, a leading producer, importer and distributor of wines and spirits in Mauritius. Grays Uganda Limited, Channel Sales and Marketing Manager, Suwilanji Ngambi said that Jack Daniels is looking forward to being the number one selling premium whiskey in the country.
The launch in Uganda was one of many global celebrations spearheaded by Jack Daniels International to celebrate 150 years of and the #onemanonemonth campaign celebrating September has the month in which the brand’s founder, Jack Daniels was born.
Talent Africa Group managed this event so everything from the sound, lighting, and production to the ambiance and entertainment for the evening was top notch. Revelers were welcomed with a complimentary Jack Daniels cocktail and an acoustic performance from The Body of Brian.
The official host for the evening was, the charismatic and super fun, Miss Deedan, who did a great job keeping guests dancing and interacting with each other. Maurice Kirya’s performance was the highlight of the evening. With a cocktail of Jack Daniels in one hand and the mic in the other, he had the crowd singing along to some of his best songs and he even dedicated his new song “insane” to the ladies in the house.
The Evening was capped off with thrilling deejay performances from Dj Dash, the dynamic duo Dj RPM, and BK and finally Dj Kampire.
