It’s one year in Power: Has President Museveni walked the talk?

By Edgar Watema

The fifth time Presidency of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni began last year in June 2016, when he was inaugurated AGAIN as the President of the Republic of Uganda. He took over office following a decisive victory over FDC’s Dr Kizza Besigye. The five year ruling period is now left with four years as the first year was marked on Tuesday.

According to the public, he has done nothing in the past one year to relate to his manifesto. NRM’s victory was based on five main pillars that is providing good leadership, improving on security, eradicate embezzlement of funds in government offices, encourage development and also handle the issue of the youth and women.

According to the political analysts, none has been put to its full practice especially fraud that is most commonly evidenced in public offices. We await the remaining four years if Museveni will fulfill the five main pillars.
