Irene Ntale’s Ssembera Album: If this is not growth, then we don’t know what growth is

Swangz Avenue songstress Irene Ntale unveiled her debut album dubbed “Sembera” at an invite-only party that was held at Swangz Avenue offices in Muyenga on Tuesday evening.

The “Gyobera” hitmaker was evidently excited as she extended her gratitude to the different stakeholders that made the Sembera album possible and also her career a glorious success thus far including deejays, producers, and media personalities among others.

But what she did not know is that the team at Swangz Avenue also had a big surprise in store for her to show their gratitude for the good work. The elated singer was overwhelmed by emotion and broke into tears when her manager Julius Kyazze presented her with a special gift congratulating her on the milestone.

The singer has come from far, as a guitarist with Cassava republic, to her first hit song Nkubukinze and this sembera Album is a testament to that growth.

You can actually hear the growth in every song of that Album, from the little girl whose music Kampala sun reviewer Denis Assimwe called nurse school rhymes  to the mature woman, who held her own on the same night with a veteran like Geoffrey Lutaaya.  This Album is a gift to the fans that have grown with Ntale from 2012 to now.

And as she says “Sembera  loosely translates to ‘come closer’,” she explained. “It is an invitation to all my fans to come closer and listen to what I have been working on for the past four years.”

Sembera is  a double CD album comprising of 27 tracks, both her old and new songs. She worked with several individuals including songwriters like A Pass, Mowzey Radio, Ray Signature and Zulanda among others.

The album is going for Ugx 30K.
