When Singer Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Radio and Weasel among others boycotted the KCCA charity show, they went silent. We then thought that other artistes who were on the poster were okay with performing at the event.
The boycott led by Chameleone was because Tanzanian Singer Diamond Platinumz was paid much money (Shs165M) and the local singers were given Shs20M to share. They didn’t find it appropriate because they think Diamond Platinumz didn’t deserve the money.
As the artistes decided to boycott and mind their own businesses, Gravity was also silent making the event organisers think he was not part of the bad boys who were ranting. Little did we know that he was waiting for the show to rant live on the stage, Gravity Omutujju did less of the performance and much of the talking when he was called on stage to perform.
He talked too much including throwing indirect jibes at KCCA Executive Director Jeniffer Musisi. After the show, Gravity was told by one of the officials that he was banned from having any show in Kampala. IN his reply, Gravity told the official how he was not scared and that he will go and have his shows anywhere else outside Kampala because Uganda is so big.
After the show, there were rumours that he would not perform at the Carnival but he was among the performers at the Bell stage at the National theatre last Sunday during the carnival.
