Ford Model Management to host the African Fashion Festival in Uganda

Ford Model Management a Uganda youth model agency is patterning with Lush Africa a South African Agency the Founder of Africa Fashion Festival to host the Africa Fashion Festival Uganda in March 2018 from March 26 to 31 at the Pearl of Africa Hotel.

Lukyamuzi Raymond the Executive Director of Ford Model Model, said we are currently calling out for designers. “We don’t just take anyone to showcase. We use certain criteria that give a chance to only the best designers. So far, we have several applications from designers around the globe so far but still calling out more until 15th January when we shall close the designer applications. And then do the Model casting of only New Faces only on 4th February 2018.

“We hope Africa Fashion Uganda is going to be bigger than the Malawian event because many designers have already shown interest. I will give you more details on the team has shortlisted the designers. As for now, we only have those showing interest.” He also added that we are excited and nervous ahead of the Show is that it’s the first of it’s Kind of Uganda bringing various Top international and Local Fashion Designer to showcase together for 3days.

Last year in Malawi 30 designers from countries including Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Guyana, the United Kingdom, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Malawi and Rwanda showcased but this year in Uganda we expect more since People are getting to understand Fashion and embrace it.

We also plan on creating a lasting memory to people in Uganda. it won’t only be fashion but also entertainment we plan on having one international artist performing alongside 6 Uganda artists and 3 comedians.
