Rolex, leave alone the watch but the food made of a Chappati with eggs, cabbages, onions and tomatoes rolled in between is one of the longest existing first foods in Uganda. It is rare to find a Rolex in supermarket but it is common on the streets of Uganda.
Recently, CNN wrote an article recognizing the Ugandan Rolex as one of the popular first food. This was after along research that was done by International Businessmen running Tours and travel companies in the country.
In their quote, CNN said, “The Rolex, a rolled chapatti containing a fried egg and vegetables, is wildly popular in Uganda, but little known outside the country. “Rolex is popular because it is a cheap filling meal that can be found on almost every street,” CNN quotes Ugandan food blogger Sophie Musoki”
