In the music Industry, a concert can never be successful if you are not backed by corporate companies that come on board to offer sponsorship in terms of money or services. For the last 43 years that Afrigo band has existed, it stood the test of time, it has worked with different companies, while others have disappointed although it didn’t stop them for moving on.

After hitting a huge milestone in the music Industry, the legendary band decided to recognise some of the sponsors that have come a long way with them. By this, the band organized a cocktail party at Club Obligato in Kampala yesterday.

The event had representatives from companies like Uganda Breweries Limited, Radio One, BBS Terefayina, Bela Wine and MTN Uganda among other companies.

Sponsors were given certificates of appreciation

The evening which kicked off at 6pm had lots of snacks and drinks on the house courtesy of the band, this got the invited guests excited with the reception of the band. Throughout the evening, the mood was kept high with the DJ playing Afrigo Band’s songs with an ample volume as the guests mixed and mingled with the band members.

According to James Wasula the Executive Director of Afrigo Band, the band organized the small cocktail party to give back to clients for not letting them down over the years. “As Afrigo Band is celebrating 43 years, we are brought that we have come a long way with Uganda Waragi which is also celebrating 52 years in existence” Wasula added. After, Certificates of appreciation were given to the corporate companies that have supported Afrigo band over the years.
