International comedian and host of the Daily Show Trevor Noah together with Jamaican duo Chaka Demus and pliers are expected to be in the country later this year. The acts will headlined the Uganda International music and culture week due to take place for 7 days starting on October 29 to November 4 at the Uganda Museum.
The 7 days will have a musical day and the Comedy day. In these two days is when Trevor Noah will perform and Chaka Demus will do their music. The event which was organized by Sheer Solutions Africa and Uganda Tourism Association is aimed at helping Ugandans appreciate their culture through different foods, music, dance, poetry and choral.
Speaking at the press conference, comedian Patrick Salvado who is the director of sheer solutions Africa and the brain behind the event, Salvado said that since it is an International Festival, it couldn’t go without International acts and it is the reason they have Trevor Noah, Chaka Demus and Pliers.
He also said that activations prior to the event will happen in 13 clusters around the country and it will be to creat awareness and FOMO for the Festival
